Traditional Conventions Of Chinese New Year

When we are child,we always hope everyday are new year.Because we can have a long holiday in new year’s days,and so many interesting things.Especially in the whole Lunar December is the new year days.Traditional conventions in our New Year Days:

1.Clean House.We will clean every things in our family,like room,furniture,also include some small things,like the bowels and plates.This means say goodbye to old and bad things last year,everything clean to welcome the new year.

2.Antithetical Couplet And Door-god.In ancient years China,couplets is made by mahogany, antithetical to the two sides of door.And the door-god is antithetical on the door,often is Generals Qinqiong and Yuchigong from Tang Dynasty.

3.Stay late in the New Year’s Eve.We will stay late with our friends or family members that day.Watch TV,eat delicious food,play cards,chat with each others,etc.

4.Say “Happy New Year” to each others.When we see or invite our family members,friends,say happy new year.It means everything will be fine.

5.Set Off Firecrackers.Fireworks are a specialty of China,people all set off fireworks in the new year’s day and opening day of stores.On the arrival of the new year,first things is the firecrackers,this is used to beep “papa-papa” fireworks orientation.

6.Cook Lots Of Delicious Food.Every family will prepare and cook many foods,like ride cakes and dumplings.Rice Cake means every year will be better and better.Dumplings also called “Jiaozi”,it means happy together and bring in a lot of money or treasures.

7.Travel or Playing.Some young people also take their parents and children to travel other place.Or just have a play in different parks near home,like the amusement park,theme parks,entertainment places,people’s park,children parks,kids parks,squares,etc.
